What is Biotechnology?
Biotechnology is the entire technology that develops plants, animals, and microorganisms that is also used to obtain new and rare materials that are not found in nature or that are not sufficient. Why Are Homogenizers Used in Biotechnology?
In biotechnology, high-pressure homogenizers are widely used in cell fractionation (cell lysis) to obtain substances in the cell without needing solvents and other chemicals.
The main purpose of using a homogenizer is to separate substances such as enzymes, vitamins, and proteins that are present in high concentrations in various organisms such as cells, food, bacteria, viruses, blood, plants and tissue samples. High-pressure homogenizers are very efficient and highly effective for cell lysis. The quality of the products obtained is very high.
